American River Jet Grout Test Section / Contract #1, American River Watershed, CA:
Sierra managed quality control for the research and implementation of triple fluid injection grouting
as a stabilization application along the American River levee system. This study being the first ever
conducted as well as the first triple fluid project ever proposed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
analyzed all aspects of the triple fluid technology. Sierra managed all aspects of the quality control
both in test section and in site implementation. Sierra Testing Laboratories, Inc. coordinated and
provided two field testing units as well as laboratory testing services.

Sacramento River Flood Control Project Mid-Valley Area Phase III Sutter County, CA:
Managed field quality control personal for the improvement of two sites along Sutter Bypass which
included 69,800 cubic yards of excavation, 94,000 cubic yards of embankment and backfill,
surrounding 230,500 square feet of soil-bentonite slurry cutoff wall.
Client: DD-M Crane & Rigging Construction Cost: $1,333,249.
Riverbed Gradient Facility for Sacramento River at the Glenn Colusa Irrigation District
(GCID Intake Sacramento Mile 206) Hamilton City, CA:
Managed field quality control whose project scope included: 28,200 square feet of metal sheet
piling, 58,100 cubic yards of river excavation, 21,200 cubic yards of common excavation, 75,000
cubic yards of fill and finally 190,800 ton of rock placement

Beale Air Force Base Pipe Looping Project, Beale Air Force Base, CA:
Managed field and laboratory contractor quality control testing on 10,600 lineal feet of waterline
with diameter ranges between 6 to 12 inches.

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory Building 155 Livermore, CA:
Managed the testing associated with the design of a concrete caisson two story steel frame building
of approximately 30,000 square feet

OL 84-99 Sacramento County Grand Island, CA:
Conducted quality control testing and inspection on a multi site levee repair. Soil placing methods
included draglines, barges, and compaction equipment.

West Sacramento Levee Reconstruction Project, 1B Reach D West Sacramento, CA:
Conducted quality control testing and inspection on the project whose scope of work included
placing 371,000 cubic yards of compacted fill.

Sacramento River Bank Protection, Colusa Basin Drain Contract 42D
(RD108) Yolo County, CA:
Conducted quality control testing and inspection on the project whose scope included 93,400
cubic yards of embankment fill and 5,000 ton of aggregate surface course.

American River Right Bank Sacramento, CA:
A quality assurance project consisting of two phases, the first being the construction of a 13,960
meter soil cement bentonite (SCB) slurry cutoff wall followed by a second phase 192,700 square
meter section of soil cement bentonite (SCB) cutoff wall.
Client U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District Construction Cost:
Sacramento River Reconstruction Contract 3 Marysville, CA:
A soil cement bentonite (SCB) slurry cutoff wall of approximately two miles in length. Responsible
for the engineering of various mix designs necessary to meet the U.S. Army Corps Sacramento District
specification. Coordinated SCB backfill testing to meet the contractors specifications yet not to inhibit
production, and managed the laboratory testing on the slurry wall backfill, embankment fill and
impervious cap.
